Early riser or late riser? You coordinate your working hours independently with your future team, as it suits you best. The work you do is recorded in a time recording system and you can collect credit hours that you can use for additional free time, for example.

We don't have a boss in the traditional sense, because we WPSers see ourselves as a large team in which everyone takes on different tasks. In technical matters, you exchange ideas with your project manager, and our management, in the person of Carola and Guido, always has an open ear for you on all other matters.

Everyone at WPS has something in common: we are keen to learn new things and we like to pass on our knowledge. You can get to know many different software projects and get involved at all levels.

We have about 10 introductory trainings that we offer remotely, where you can learn about different topics that are important in WPS in the first year, such as agile software development, architecture analysis, UX design, testing, requirements elicitation and much more.

In addition, there is at least one internal training per month, "by WPS-ers for WPS-ers", because the experienced ones like to pass on their knowledge to others. You can also take part in this further training from your location. We also give you the space you need for external training, such as attending conferences.

When it comes to software development, no one can fool us. We don't keep our extensive know-how to ourselves, but are happy to pass it on to interested people at conferences, with our trainings, courses and consultations. Therefore, in addition to your project work at WPS, you can also give talks at conferences, work as a trainer or analyse the architectures or IT landscapes of other companies as a consultant. All these fields of activity are open to you at WPS, no matter where you work from.

In short: wherever you want. You can work in your home office or wherever you are online. In addition, you can always use free workstations at our headquarters in Hamburg or in our co-working space in Berlin. Maybe you'd like to spend the next winter in the sunny south? That is also possible with a mobile working relationship at WPS!

We will provide you with everything you need for mobile working at WPS, which includes a high-quality computer (PC or Mac, according to your choice). Then we'll look together at what else you need for relaxed working in your home office, e.g. desk, office chair, headset, etc.

If you prefer to work in a co-working space, we will look for a suitable location around the corner and look forward to renting an office for you as soon as we have established a larger WPS team in your city or region.

As practical and diverse as the possibilities of digital communication are, personal interaction is very important to us at the WPS, which is why we would like to ask you to spend your first two weeks with us in Hamburg. After that, you can assume that there will be a personal meeting of the project team about once a quarter - more often is always possible, of course. Your travel and hotel costs will be covered by the WPS.

With WPS you will find an employer without noticeable hierarchical structures who is particularly interested in you and your further development. Our most important asset is our feedback and support culture, which forms the basis for our strong cohesion and will make your start easier.

We give you the necessary freedom to fully contribute your talents and skills to your project and to have a lot of fun as part of the team. And that doesn't just apply to working hours, but also includes numerous company events, such as our WPS retreats, where we discuss the future of our company and decide for ourselves, Family & Friends, where we celebrate together with our partners and children, sporting events that WPS sponsors and co-organises, and much more.
