Podcast Rechenzeit - Episode 17
A tool for music analysis - leitmotif: application orientation
In this episode, we computational time podcasters keep to ourselves: Holger asks Andreas about the story of his dissertation, which starts with Richard Wagner and Lohengrin, gets lost in a few shelf metres of score in the meantime, and finally comes out with a software tool for music analysis ("JRing") and a collaboration with Stanford University.
In addition to providing insight into a fascinating domain, in this episode we also discuss JRing, a software that Andreas had constructed using the tools and materials approach even before Eric Evans published his "Blue Book" on DDD. Therefore, we focus on the similarities and differences to DDD that JRing has.
