Workshop: Domain Storytelling
Domain storytelling means that we let experts tell us stories about their tasks. While we listen, we record the stories in visual language. The domain experts can immediately see whether we understand their story or not. After just a few stories, we are able to talk about the people, tasks, tools, work objects and events in the field.
On the first day, we will explore how domain storytelling can help you with different aspects of DDD. You will practice
- summarise domain knowledge
- find sub-domains and limited contexts
- build a ubiquitous language and talk about requirements
- move from domain modelling to modelling in code (optional)
On the second day, we will show how to combine domain storytelling with other modelling approaches (e.g. event storming, user story mapping, example mapping). And we will model real examples from your domains!
In this workshop you will learn how to adapt the method to different purposes and you will try out different modelling tools. After the workshop you will be able to apply Domain Storytelling independently.
