One system for all - construction site management at Autobahn GmbH

Since 2021, the federal government's Autobahn GmbH has been responsible for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of motorways in Germany. This task was previously the responsibility of the 16 federal states. This centralisation has presented Autobahn GmbH with a whole series of organisational and technical challenges, including for roadworks management.

There are currently ten different construction site management tools in use at the Autobahn GmbH branches, which vary greatly in their range of functions. The processes used also differ in the various branches. With MIA (based on ROADS Regio), a uniform construction site management tool is now being introduced at Autobahn GmbH, which should also support the standardisation of processes.

In our presentation, we will show how MIA enables the most traffic-compatible planning possible, but also highlight the challenges we faced during the nationwide introduction of MIA and how we solved them.
