AI at Lufthansa Technik: challenges in practice

In a world that's rife with AI hype, it may come as a surprise that only a small proportion of machine learning models actually make the leap into production operations. Despite the immense potential of AI, many projects fail to be realised. The reasons for failure range from technical to human factors. On the one hand, the deployment and operation of AI models (machine learning operations) is underestimated. On the other hand, the

acceptance and handling by end users is another challenge. The lecture will present the basics and practical examples and discuss how AI can be successfully implemented in practice.
