Podcast Rechenzeit - Episode 30
The proxy product owner - antipattern or good workaround?
The product owner is of great importance in software development projects that follow the Scrum approach. Who fulfils this role and how this person performs it is often decisive for the success of the project. It is therefore no wonder that a second role can now often be observed "in the wild", which is not envisaged in Scrum at all, and which is installed to replace, support and/or supplement the actual Product Owner: the Proxy Product Owner.
How should this strange creature be assessed - is the Proxy Product Owner a curse or a blessing? Is it an anti-pattern or a good workaround? We discuss these questions in the 30th episode of Rechenzeit with Fabian May, who has had his fair share of experience with this phenomenon as a project manager and Scrum Master.
