New mobility
#transmove wins the German Engineering Award 2025
Together with our project partners LSBG Hamburg and the PTV Group, we are delighted to have won first place in the German Engineering Award 2025 in the "New Mobility" category !
The award-winning #transmove project stands for a new generation of intelligent traffic management in Hamburg - based on artificial intelligence, real-time data and state-of-the-art forecasting methods.
As a follow-up project to the successful "traffic jam forecasting" module from the ROADS roadworks coordination system - which has already won the German Engineering Award in the past - #transmove takes mobility analysis to a new level.
The solution combines historical and current traffic data to enable precise predictions and thus reduce congestion, make journey times easier to plan and promote sustainable mobility.
"We are proud to be part of this pioneering project. The award shows how innovative software development and interdisciplinary collaboration can have a real impact - for a smarter and more liveable city."
Sascha Theede, WPS
A total of 86 projects were submitted in the categories Building Culture, Innovation | Digitalisation and New Mobility.
The success of #transmove underlines the importance of data-driven solutions for sustainable urban and transport planning - and how Hamburg is setting standards as a centre of innovation.
