Systematically improving software architectures
iSAQB module IMPROVE
What is software modernisation and architecture improvement?
Software modernisation describes the systematic further development of existing software systems. Instead of developing new systems from scratch, existing architectures are analysed, evaluated and improved in a targeted manner.
In the iSAQB IMPROVE training course, you will learn how to optimise existing software architectures sustainably and adapt them to new requirements. Topics such as technical debt, maintainability and long-term architecture quality take centre stage.
Why is the improvement of existing systems so important?
Many companies work with grown software systems that have been expanded over the years. Without targeted improvements, problems such as increasing complexity, high maintenance costs and declining quality arise. IMPROVE training helps you to
- Systematically reduce technical debt
- Recognise risks and weak points at an early stage
- Improve maintainability and quality
- Further develop systems in the long term
- Harmonise business and IT goals
The aim is to sustainably improve software instead of constantly redeveloping it.
iSAQB Advanced Level - IMPROVE certification
The IMPROVE training is an accredited module of the iSAQB Advanced Level and teaches comprehensive competences in the evolution and improvement of software architectures.
As part of the training, you will acquire 30 credit points, which are made up of 20 methodological and 10 technical points and can be credited towards the "Certified Professional for Software Architecture - Advanced Level (CPSA-A)" certification.
