Systematically improving software architectures
iSAQB IMPROVE module
What is software modernisation and architectural improvement?
Software modernisation describes the systematic further development of existing software systems. Rather than developing new systems from scratch, existing architectures are analysed, evaluated and specifically improved.
In the iSAQB IMPROVE training course, you will learn how to optimise existing software architectures in a sustainable manner and adapt them to new requirements. The course focuses on topics such as technical debt, maintainability and long-term architectural quality.
Why is improving existing systems so important?
Many organisations work with legacy software systems that have been expanded over the years. Without targeted improvements, problems such as increasing complexity, high maintenance costs and declining quality arise. The IMPROVE training course helps you to:
- Systematically reduce technical debt
- Identify risks and vulnerabilities at an early stage
- Improve maintainability and quality
- Develop systems for the long term
- Align business and IT objectives
The aim is to improve software sustainably, rather than constantly redeveloping it.
iSAQB Advanced Level – IMPROVE Certification
The IMPROVE training course is an accredited module of the iSAQB Advanced Level and provides comprehensive skills in the evolution and improvement of software architectures.
As part of the training, you will earn 30 credit points, comprising 20 methodological and 10 technical points, which can be counted towards the ‘Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Advanced Level (CPSA-A)’ certification.
