Alessandro Buttignon

Alessandro Buttignon combines in-depth data science expertise with a commitment to building AI solutions that do not remain mere prototypes, but are deployed as reliable, scalable systems in live production.

He has been with WPS since 2021, where he supports clients in the logistics, mobility and drone sectors with the design and implementation of machine learning pipelines: from data preparation and the training of complex models through to deployment in the cloud. Prior to this, he also gained experience in data engineering, business intelligence, process optimisation and, most recently, in the field of large language models (LLMs).

His passion lies in combining data science with robust software architecture: AI solutions that do not end up as prototypes, but as maintainable, reliable components of larger systems, built using MLOps principles, Infrastructure as Code and modern architectures such as DDD. As a trainer, he passes on this knowledge and provides practical guidance on how to design robust AI architectures and transition them into production.
